Work will take place between 9:00am-4:30pm and will NOT require a road closure. The project is scheduled to conclude Monday, June 24.

Stay tuned for continued improvements this summer on Kimball Avenue and Euclid and the intersection of Bickmore and Euclid. For more information, please call 909-334-3269.

KB Sinkhold Bickmore

Bickmore Avenue
After extensive testing at the site of the sinkhole on Bickmore Avenue, a plan for repairs has been drafted and work has already begun.

The initial phase of
the plan will focus on sewer work, then concurrent work will begin on the storm drain and finally street repairs will take place during the last phase of work. Much of the work will be completed 20 feet underground and over 1,000 feet in length.

During the duration of the project, work is being observed and inspected by the City and testing of the soil is on-going. The work is scheduled to be completed in approximately 60 calendar days but may be shortened depending on the amount of groundwater encountered.

We realize this is a significant inconvenience to those living and traveling in the surrounding area and we sincerely appreciate your patience as we work to get Bickmore back to safe and driveable conditions.

City of Ontario Road Closure

The City of Ontario has closed the following roads to conduct needed repairs and to widen the roads:

1. Merrill Avenue between Archibald Avenue and Carpenter Avenue in both directions until January 20.

2. Northbound Carpenter Avenue will be intermittently closed between Merrill Avenue and Remington Avenue (time frame unknown).
